Polymaker PolyMide™ CoPA — is a premium filament based on a copolymer of nylon 6 and nylon 6.6, which combines extraordinary mechanical strength, durability and heat resistance up to 180°C. Thanks to Warp-Free™ the material provides stable printing without significant distortion, even without a heated chamber or platen.
Key benefits:
-
Mechanical properties: high strength and durability to create parts capable of withstanding significant mechanical loads.
-
-
Warp-Free technology™: ensures minimal deformation during printing, improving dimensional stability of finished products.
-
Water absorption: Like most nylons, PolyMide™ CoPA requires dry storage and pre-drying if moisture has been absorbed.
Recommendations for printing:
-
Nozzle temperature: 250-270˚C
-
Printer platform temperature: 25-50˚C
-
Printer camera temperature: room temperature
-
Print speed: 30-50 mm/s
-
Cooling fan: off
-
Retraction distance for direct drive (Direct Drive): 3 mm
-
Retraction speed for direct drive (Direct Drive): 50 mm/s
-
Material drying mode: 80˚C for 10 hours (only if the material has absorbed moisture)
-
Storage: must be in a dry environment, for example in a sealed box PolyDryer™ Box
-
Annealing: 80˚C for 6 hours
Application of Polymaker PolyMide™ CoPA:
The material is suitable for the production of functional prototypes, engineering parts, tools and electronics housings. PolyMide™ CoPA provides ease of printing even for complex geometries thanks to excellent layer adhesion and the ability to work with support materials such as PolyDissolve™ S1.
PolyMide™ CoPA does not contain carbon or glass fiber, making it an ideal choice for printing gears and mechanical parts that require a low coefficient of friction and a smooth surface. Thanks to Warp-Free™ and proper print setting, the resulting parts have a monolithic structure with the same tensile strength in all directions, ensuring high durability and stability in use.
