Drywise — Continuous Industrial Filament Drying System for FDM 3D Printing

When working with engineering-grade materials, moisture control is one of the most important factors affecting print quality. Polyamides, TPU, PETG, PEEK, PEKK, PEI, and many other polymers gradually absorb moisture from the air, which can lead to inconsistent extrusion, poor interlayer adhesion, bubbling, and reduced mechanical performance of printed parts.

Drywise is an industrial filament drying system that takes a fundamentally different approach from conventional spool dryers. Instead of heating the entire spool, the system dries only the section of filament immediately before it enters the 3D printer. As a result, the material reaches optimal printing condition without lengthy pre-drying, allowing users to start printing almost immediately.

How Drywise Works

Unlike conventional filament dryers, Drywise operates continuously throughout the printing process. A closed-loop desiccant system, integrated sensors, and pre-configured material profiles maintain consistent drying conditions regardless of print duration. This approach also eliminates repeated heating cycles of the entire spool, which is particularly beneficial when working with expensive engineering polymers.

Drywise is especially effective when printing with moisture-sensitive materials, including:

  • polyamides (PA);
  • TPU;
  • PETG;
  • polycarbonate (PC);
  • PEI (ULTEM);
  • PEEK;
  • PEKK;
  • carbon fiber- and glass fiber-reinforced composite materials.

Designed for Professional Applications

With automated filament feeding, integrated sensors, and optimized material profiles, Drywise is an ideal solution for manufacturing facilities, print farms, research laboratories, and production environments where repeatability, reduced print failures, and consistent part quality are essential. The system is compatible with most FDM 3D printers and supports both standard filament spools and large-format reels.
